A Message from the President

Jan. 2, 2026

Dear WVC Community,
I hope each of you had time to rest, spend time with friends, family, and loved ones, and reflect on what matters most during the holidays. As we begin the Winter Quarter and step into 2026, I want to take a moment to thank you for the positive contributions that you made to our students, our college, our community, and our region in 2025.
I extend my sincere appreciation and best wishes to you—our students, faculty, staff, alumni, Board of Trustees, Foundation Boards, donors, and volunteers, and our community members. It is through your support and expertise that Wenatchee Valley College (WVC) serves as an anchor and catalyst for expanding access to high-quality and affordable education and training. Our guiding star is to empower our students and to make North Central Washington a thriving community where we can all learn, grow, and succeed. This commitment reflects WVC’s shared values of Community, Opportunity, Inclusion, Learning, and Student-Centeredness (COILS).
The positive impact WVC has on our students, community, and industry partners is significant and far-reaching. I encourage you to visit us on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn to view a small snapshot of our contributions across the region in 2025. I am excited about all that 2026 will bring and look forward to a wonderful year ahead.
Our Students — Knights, you are supported by dedicated faculty, staff, and community organizations who are fully committed to your success. Wherever you are on your educational or personal enrichment journey, I encourage you to lean on the expertise of your professors and professional staff and make full use of the resources and services available to you. As a college community, we are committed to meeting you where you are and supporting your continued growth and success every step of the way.
Our Colleagues — I hope the winter break provided time to reflect on the many ways you center students at the heart of our teaching and learning mission, and how we serve the greater North Central Washington region. Your dedication, expertise, and commitment to learning, teaching, and student support are the foundation of our continued progress and future milestones. What you do each day is essential to our success. I admire and deeply appreciate your contributions in advancing our mission.
Our Omak and Wenatchee Foundations — WVC’s success and ability to advance its mission are deeply rooted in your leadership, generosity, and commitment to providing scholarships, guidance, and resources for our students. Your support helps reduce financial barriers and opens doors for students to reach their full potential. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and volunteers, thank you for your unwavering investment in our students and community.
Our Alumni — Your talents, and the way you use them to enrich our communities, makes Wenatchee Valley College and our region proud. We wish you continued success and welcome opportunities to reconnect or deepen your involvement with our college community in 2026. We know your impact is global. Thank you for inspiring us and the next generation of students with your journey, and for giving back to our community. You are forever a part of Wenatchee Valley College’s legacy and our Knights family.
Our Community — Thank you for the work you do and the support that you provide to local and regional partnerships throughout North Central Washington. We wish you a strong start to the year and continued success. WVC serves a region of more than 10,000 square miles, and our commitment extends well beyond our Omak and Wenatchee campuses. We welcome opportunities to explore how WVC can support your endeavors in 2026 and into the future. Please contact me directly at fharrison@wvc.edu or Ms. Maria Iñiguez, chief of staff, at miniguez@wvc.edu.
Wenatchee Valley College has long been defined by its commitment to access, excellence, and service. Each week, I hear from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners who share how WVC has contributed to their success or the success of someone they know. These stories reinforce the vital role our college plays in the region, and I look forward to sharing the positive impact our students, faculty, staff, and alumni are having on our communities throughout the year.
I wish you a healthy and happy year ahead!

Sincerely,
Faimous Harrison, Ph.D
