Don Gurnard attended Wenatchee Valley College from 1975 to 1977, and believes everyone deserves to be given an education to the level that they desire. “Even the basics of reading, writing, and math help navigate and live in today’s world,” he said.

Don is inspired to serve on the WVC Foundation board because he enjoys witnessing the success of college students being able to go on and do bigger and better things.

His favorite memory as a WVC Foundation board member involves anything he can do to assist students in receiving their education. Outside of serving on the WVC Foundation board, he enjoys golfing, RV camping, travelling, and working in his yard.

Wenatchee Valley College matters to Don because it is a piece of our valley, the great place he lives in.
