Submission Guidelines

Submissions for the 2026 edition are now open. We accept submissions from Wenatchee Valley College students, alumni, faculty and staff. Submissions of fiction, nonfiction, artwork and photography will be accepted until Jan. 31, 2026.

• Each submission email should include your name and e-mail address.
• Please indicate if you are a student, employee, or alumni of WVC. 
• Please note that submissions not meeting the criteria below will not be considered.

Prose

• Submit up to three short fiction pieces or essays between 100 to 2,000 words.
• Note in your e-mail and on your document whether your submission is fiction or nonfiction.
• Send manuscripts in .doc, .docx, .pdf, or .txt format.
• Do not include your name or e-mail address on the story or essay document.
• Bilingual or multilingual submissions are welcome.  

Stories and essays may be subject to editing.

Poetry

• Submit up to five poems.
• Send each poem in its own document.
• Do not include your name or e-mail address on each poem.
• Bilingual or multilingual submissions are welcome.

Photographs

• Submit up to five photos.
• Indicate in the body of the email titles of photos, if applicable.
• Photos should be sent in .jpeg/.jpg, RAW, .png or .bmp format and saved at 300 dpi minimum.

Digital images of artwork

• Submit up to five digital images of artwork.
• Indicate in the body of the email titles of the pieces and medium (e.g. pencil, acrylic, digital art)
• Digital images of artwork should be submitted in .jpeg/.jpg files saved at 300 dpi (minimum).
