Need based scholarships

This scholarship has been awarded to graduating seniors from Wenatchee and Eastmont High Schools since 1991.
This scholarship provides emergency support to WVC students. It is administered through the counseling department.
This scholarship was established in 2023 to support residents of Chelan and Douglas counties that are enrolled in a business-related skilled trade program. Recipients also must demonstrate financial need. 
Recipients of this scholarship must plan to transfer to a 4-year institution to complete a baccalaureate degree.
This scholarship was established by Al Gracey to support allied health students at WVC.
Preference will be given to active members of the U.S. Military or Military Reserve; U.S. Military Veterans; and spouses and children of active members or veterans. 
Supports full time allied health students at WVC. 
Recipients of this scholarship are selected based on their demonstrated financial need. 
Gertrude Keagle's granddaughter established this scholarship to honor Gertrude on her 90th birthday. This scholarship supports students that demonstrate financial need.
Established in memory of Hubert Cornelius "Hu" Blonk, this scholarship supports students in their second year at WVC. 
This renewable scholarship supports full-time students at WVC pursuing a degree in education. 
Ken and Sharon Doop established this scholarship to support students that have persevered through reading-related difficulties.
This scholarship is available to all students at WVC that demonstrate financial need.
Recipients must either be currently enrolled in the Hispanic Orchard Employee Education Program (HOEEP), or graduates of HOEEP, or a child of a graduate of HOEEP.
This scholarship was established by Dorothy Webb in memory of her husband, Lovell. Recipients must be enrolled in the nursing program at WVC. 
This scholarship supports female students who have had a significant break in their education. Recipients must be enrolled in an allied health program at WVC.
Established by an estate gift from Mildred Phelps, this scholarship provides support for students pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing at WVC.
Established by Catholic Charities of Central Washington to help participants of the "New Journeys Program" pursue continuing education.

Established 2021 by daughter Debra S. Lapo and her husband John M. Ballinger in memory of Richard Lapo’s life and career. Richard Lapo grew up during the Depression and post WWII era, but due to the generosity of others he was able to attend Westminster Choir College in Princeton New Jersey where he received both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. After working some years in full-time church music, he moved his wife and family to Wenatchee in 1967 and he taught, directed, performed and mentored in the Wenatchee Valley College Music, Arts and Drama Department until his retirement in 1994. He believed in the value of education and often used his allotted choir scholarship fund (and sometimes the cash from his wallet) to help WVC students remain in school.  We establish this scholarship in his honor to carry on that legacy of giving and paying it forward.  

This endowed scholarship annually supports students in the radiologic technology program. 
Paula Van Eaton established this scholarship through a gift from her estate. It is available to all students at WVC that demonstrate financial need.
This scholarship was established Jean Eng in memory of her husband. It is available to all students at WVC who demonstrate financial need.
