About the journal

The two student editors of the Mirror Northwest literary journal hold copies of the journal's 2025 cover.

Mirror Northwest is the literary and arts journal of Wenatchee Valley College. Mirror Northwest publishes poetry, short fiction, essays, artwork and photographs from writers and artists at the college and in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties.

2026 Mirror Northwest Book Launch and Reading

Cover of the Mirror Northwest literary journal, with a sketch of a woman's face.The 2026 Mirror Northwest book launch, reading, and reception will be on Thursday, May 14, at 6 p.m. in the Music and Art Center. 

Doors open at 6 p.m. for socializing. From 6:30-7:30 p.m., student editors will discuss the editorial process, and students, alumni, employees, and community contributors will share their writing and art. Copies of the journal will be available at the event. 

Mirror Northwest is supported by the WVC English and art departments, the WVC libraries, and the WVC Foundation.  

 

 

History

Mirror Northwest was first published in the 1960s and has been published off and on ever since, led by students and supervised by faculty editors. Prior to the 2025 issue, the journal had been published most recently in 2017 and 2013.
