Armed Forces Day

The Wenatchee Valley College Veteran Knights/Student Veterans of America club will be hosting the 4th Annual Armed Forces Day event at the WVC campus, centered in the courtyard around the fountain, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., on Friday, May 17.
This is a free event open to the public. Parking will be free on campus, thanks to the WVC administration, and please remember to bring food donations for the food drive if you are able.
The event will have Opening Military Flag Ceremony (by VFW Post 3617 Color Guard), National Anthem/Vocalist (Sarah Simonson) Speeches (Various Veterans Providers and Services will introduce themselves and talk about their programs), Awards, Resource and Employment Fair, Information booths, Military Recruiters, kids activities including bouncy house and coloring and games, Classic Cars on display from local clubs in NCW, Military Vehicle Display, including vintage and featuring two Stryker vehicles on display from the Washington Army National Guard.
There is a free BBQ sponsored by Costco and Alley Café for up to 400 guests at the event. While there is no cost, donations are accepted. Cash donations go towards the WVC Veteran Knights, in lieu of monetary donations, please bring some non-perishable food items for donation to the College’s Knight’s Kupboard food bank.
