300.900 SCHOLORSHIP, RESEARCH & ARTISTIC CREATION POLICY

The primary responsibility of Wenatchee Valley College faculty is teaching. This is a characteristic of community colleges that sets them apart from universities and makes them special learning environments for students. Scholarship, research and artistic creation by faculty and students are, however, encouraged. To the extent possible within college resources, these activities are supported by the college through faculty professional development funds, sabbatical leaves, release time, and special arrangements.
