Alumni Spotlight: Bianca Ebreo '11
Sometimes the best decisions are the ones that keep you close to home. For Bianca Ebreo, choosing Wenatchee Valley College was about more than affordability, it also included being connected to her community. By working part-time and living nearby, she managed to pay for college and graduate debt-free, setting herself up for success right from the start.
But the real turning point for Bianca came in a classroom.
It was during accounting courses with Mr. Choman that everything clicked. His passion
for teaching and real-world approach sparked a lasting love for accounting that shaped
Bianca’s academic and professional journey. To this day, she still considers him the
best accounting teacher she's ever had.
After graduating with her Associate of Arts and Science degree through WVC’s Direct Transfer Agreement program, Bianca continued to build her future. Today, she works as an accountant for Douglas County PUD and also gives back to the next generation of WVC students as a board member of the WVC Foundation. Her journey from student to leader is a reminder of how a strong start at WVC can lead to lasting impact.
Bianca says that her time at WVC didn’t just shape her career, it also helped her grow personally. She credits her WVC experience with giving her the confidence to step outside of her shell, ask questions when she needed help, and not be afraid to seek guidance. Those lessons have stayed with her throughout her professional life.
When offering advice to current WVC students, Bianca’s message is simple but powerful: "Take advantage of the resources around you. You’re surrounded by knowledge, support, and people who genuinely want to see you succeed. Never be afraid to ask for help — it’s one of the smartest moves you can make."
